Kick-off at the Stadio Olimpico is at 20:45, with Roma hosting Fiorentina, in what is clearly the standout fixture of the opening round of Serie A. Both sides have plenty of new faces: from Koulierakis and Molina to Mastantuono and Dragusin, Roma and Fiorentina have been the busiest teams in the summer transfer window. For Fabio Grosso, it is a first ever Serie A match on the Fiorentina bench after getting his first taste of the Franchi in an official game with a 4-1 win over Benevento in the Coppa Italia, while Gian Piero Gasperini is preparing for his second season after securing Champions League qualification last year.
