'You are greatness' - Ryan Reynolds responds with emotional message to Wrexham striker amid claims he was forced out of club after promotion to Championship

It was announced this week that Fletcher would leave Wrexham this summer after the club were promoted to the Championship. Reynolds has posted his tribute to the forward, who has contributed to back-to-back promotions with 15 goals in 71 appearances..

Reynolds said: "Words aren’t agile enough to capture what you’ve brought to Wrexham, the sport, and the lives of myself and this whole town. You aren’t a PART of greatness. You ARE greatness. I don’t really know what a co-chairmen is supposed to do or say in these moments and I don’t much care. I’m gonna miss you. I’ll miss your your leadership and wit and the way you remind everyone — including me — that this is also FUN. Like the first day we met, I’m here for you any time and any place. Always."

Fletcher hinted this week that he had been forced out of the club against his will, writing in his goodbye message that he was leaving "not out of choice" and that he "unfortunately" had to make the announcement.

Wrexham look ready to splash the cash upon promotion to the second tier, with Fulham's Tom Cairney and Lewis O'Brien of Nottingham Forest targeted.
