After a humiliating defeat at home to Brighton, United got back to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday as they picked up a 1-0 victory over Fulham courtesy of a late strike from Lisandro Martinez. It was a much-needed win for the Red Devils, who moved up to the 12th in the league table with three crucial points.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
It was a perfect birthday gift for head coach Amorim, who turned 40 on Monday. The Portuguese coach revealed the players had requested a day off from training after the difficult win at Craven Cottage, but he rejected the plea as he wanted to spend Monday with the squad members who were not in action against Fulham.
WHAT RUBEN AMORIM SAID
Speaking to MUTV after the game, the Portuguese head coach said: "They asked for the day off tomorrow... I didn't give it. We are training because it's my birthday and my gift is to work with the guys who didn't play. It will be fantastic because we won. Then I will have dinner with my kids."
