During his time at Hull, the 21-year-old has made 11 appearances and has scored four goals, while he has also won four caps for Portugal's Under-21 side, though he is yet to team up with Ronaldo for the national team.

  • WHAT CARVALHO SAID

In an interview with Portuguese outlet A Bola, Carvalho was asked who inspires him to try and become the "best in the world", to which he replied: "There's only one, isn't there? Cristiano Ronaldo! The way he works is incredible.

"I know those who played with him at Manchester United and, even at his age, he continues to work the same way and take care of himself. Everyone tells me he's a madman who lives and breathes football. He always wants to be the best, that's why he reached the level he did."
