    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Scans have shown no muscular damage, according to Standard Sport, with the 25-year-old having been spotted applying ice to that area following his substitution. As a result, Gabriel was able to take part in training on Sunday alongside the rest of his international colleagues.

    WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Arsenal will be hoping to Gabriel returns to them unscathed after seeing him slot back into their starting XI for a 3-1 win over Manchester United last time out. The Brazilian had slipped out of Mikel Arteta’s plans at the start of the 2023-24 campaign as William Saliba and Ben White were favoured as the Gunners’ centre-half partnership.
