PSG have been chasing the Bournemouth centre-back for much of the summer and now Fabrizio Romano states that Zabarnyi is set to sign a five-year deal with Luis Enrique's team in a transfer worth up to €67m (£58m).

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Champions League holders PSG are set to add more quality to their star-studded team this summer, while Bournemouth could be in store for a difficult Premier League season. Two of their best centre-backs, Zabarnyi and Real Madrid recruit Dean Huijsen, won't be playing for them this season, so they need to make some quality additions to maintain the levels they achieved last term.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

It is not all doom and gloom for Bournemouth, however, as reports suggest they have returned to try and sign Lille's Bafode Diakite. The Cherries previously walked away from signing the £35 million-rated ($47m) centre-back but with this Zabarnyi move close, negotiations look set to begin again with the Ligue 1 outfit.

    WHAT NEXT?

Reports suggest former France under-21 player Diakite has verbally agreed personal terms on a five-year contract with Bournemouth but it remains to be seen if this deal gets over the line, as Zabarnyi heads for Paris.
