Manchester United to make decision on Sofyan Amrabat future next week

Amrabat spent last season on loan at United and provided able support to Erik ten Hag's first-choice midfield. He made 30 appearances in all competitions and played 90 minutes in the FA Cup final, as United beat Manchester City at Wembley, and Fabrizio Romano reports that the club have yet to make a decision on signing him permanently.

Per Romano's report, United retain the option to sign Amrabat as part of their loan agreement. The Morocco international wants the move, and is waiting for the two sides to strike a deal. It remains to be seen if that can be done.

Amrabat's contract with Fiorentina expires in 2025 and the Italian club may be minded to agree a deal this summer and receive a fee for the 27-year-old.

United play Rosenborg in their first pre-season friendly on Monday. They are likely to play that game before making any decisions about Amrabat's arrival.
