The 'doomsday scenario' Man Utd are desperate to avoid as Red Devils look to shift unwanted Alejandro Garnacho, Antony & Jadon Sancho after Marcus Rashford exit - revealed

United had already asked five wantaways - Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia - to train alone after 5pm as they are no longer allowed to attend the club's Carrington base with other first-team members after being deemed surplus to Ruben Amorim's needs.

Rashford will be the first player to exit Old Trafford as he is set to sign for Barcelona on loan. With that situation resolved, the Red Devils will now look to find solutions for the rest of their 'bomb squad' members quickly to avoid a 'doomsday' situation, where they remain at the club up to transfer deadline day on September 1 or worse, that they fail to offload the players altogether, according to The Athletic.

A solution has been suggested to United. An anonymous sports director has told The Athletic: "The players’ agents will be communicating with interested clubs. And those clubs might say, ‘We can pay £20million to £30m as a fee. If you can get that lower, then we can pay the wages being asked and your agent fee, too’. There is a market for clubs who want players at £20m to £25m. It’s tricky above that.

"A compromise is needed, and they can come in different forms other than just reducing the amounts involved. Clubs could pay in instalments, for example, or over a longer period, or there could be compromises on bonuses."

Amorim's men will now jet off to the U.S. to continue with their pre-season preparations and will face West Ham first in a friendly game on July 27.
