Leeds given boost in hopes of signing AC Milan forward as €15m offer from Serie A side rejected

According to theAthletic, there has been no contact between Leeds and Milan but Okafor impressed club officials when the two teams played each other in a friendly in Dublin last week. As per Calciomercato, Milan have turned down Bologna’s offer of €15m (£10m/$18m) for Okafor, setting their asking price at up to €20m (£17m/$23m).

Leeds are aiming to strengthen their attack for Daniel Farke. After signing Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin on free transfers, their move for Lecce striker Nikola Krstovic collapsed. They are also interested in Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz but face strong competition from Italian side Atalanta.

Milan signed Okafor for €13m (£11m/$15m) from RB Salzburg in 2023, but the Swiss forward was unable to break into the starting XI ahead of Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao. In January 2025, German club RB Leipzig moved to sign him, but a failed medical saw the transfer collapse. He was then loaned to Napoli as a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but after failing to impress there as well, he returned to San Siro.

Leeds will hope that Milan will be open to selling Okafor after an impressive pre-season showing for the Rossoneri. Okafor will hope that his future will be clear as the season will commence very soon
