After guiding PSG to Trophee des Champions triumph on Wednesday, the French star claimed that he is yet to decide on his future and that he has an agreement with the Ligue 1 champions. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/agreement-psg-kylian-mbappe-cryptic-update-future-areal-madrid-transfer-speculation/blt80c6e8056ae93ad7#cs324872c3df118b32" target="_blank">The post-match comments</a> have reportedly angered Real Madrid, who have set <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/revealed-psg-drawn-up-plans-kylian-mbappe-exit-real-madrid-awaiting-transfer-decision-january-deadline/bltd7c512926e165af4" target="_blank">a deadline of mid-January</a> for Mbappe to take a final call on if he wants to move to the Spanish capital in the summer.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Journalist Josep Pedrerol, while speaking on El Chiringuito (via <a href="https://www.football-espana.net/2024/01/04/real-madrid-frustrated-with-kylian-mbappe-comments-internally" target="_blank">Football Espana</a>), said: "Real Madrid are not amused by Mbappe’s words. They do not want to get into a season-long drama, and it appears Mbappe does."

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID

The 25-year-old attacker has entered the final six months of his contract with PSG, meaning he is free to negotiate terms with clubs outside of Ligue 1, with no extension clause being activated as yet. Other than Los Blancos, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/liverpool-kylian-mbappe-transfer-real-madrid/blt1f424c505468f86a" target="_blank">Liverpool have also emerged as possible candidates</a> to sign the Frenchman.

It remains to be seen whether the World Cup-winning French star will hold talks with Real Madrid in the next few weeks and finalise his much-anticipated move to Spain. On the pitch, he could next be seen in action for Luis Enrique's side on Sunday as they take on Revel in the French Cup.
