It was recently <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/another-twist-kylian-mbappe-report-claims-psg-star-agreed-real-madrid-transfer-premier-league-speculation/blt992641f132b99341" target="_blank">reported that Mbappe has already agreed to join Madrid</a> this summer, though the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/kylian-mbappe-s-camp-respond-sensational-reports-psg-superstar-has-already-agreed-real-madrid-transfer/blt64f4cd980c906505" target="_blank">France star's camp released a statement denying that he had decided</a> on his next step. Liverpool are seen as Madrid's main rivals for his signature, while PSG still hope to convince him to stay.

The 25-year-old upset Madrid in the summer of 2022 when he rejected their advances and made a last-minute U-turn to sign a new contract in Paris. His future became uncertain again last summer when he informed the French club that he would not trigger the option to extend his stay by a further year, opening up the possibility of him leaving for free and resulting in him being temporarily dropped from the squad.
