    WHAT HAPPENED?

The Sun reports that the England full-back is on the verge of completing a 12-month loan move from City to AC Milan and will be unveiled as a Rossoneri player in the coming days. Walker did also consider moving to Inter, however, talks broke down over his wages. Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that AC Milan have now agreed to sign the 34-year-old, and the Italian club will cover his £150,000 per week wages. The deal will include a non-mandatory buy option.

On the English defender's move, a source told The Sun: "The deal is done. Kyle is keen to get to Italy as soon as possible for the formalities. He's excited about the future and can't wait to pull on the famous shirt. He's now an AC Milan player."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

AC Milan had also shown interest in signing Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford earlier this month but with Walker sealing his transfer, the club can no longer sign his compatriot as according to Serie A rules, an Italian club can only sign one British player per year. With the Serie A giants out of the picture, Rashford will now hope to move to Barcelona, who have reportedly held talks with his representatives in Lisbon over a possible loan transfer.

    WHAT NEXT?

Rashford is giving extra effort in training to ensure he will be ready to give 100 per cent if Rubem Amorim picks him for United's upcoming Europa League clash against Rangers on Thursday. Walker, meanwhile, could make his debut for AC Milan before the end of the month if the final details of his transfer from City are wrapped up as quickly as expected.
