Borussia Dortmund’s Italian talent is the ideal reinforcement for the future strategies of the two clubs.

Inter and Juventus have adopted two very similar approaches for the future and, inevitably, that will send them into a direct battle in the transfer market.

Alongside plans for major signings to strengthen their squads, both clubs have already recognised the need to increase their pool of "made in Italy" players and have started trading blows over a number of talents who could shape the future. One of them is certainly Samuele Inacio.


  • Tied down by Borussia Dortmund

    Samuele Inacio is no longer an unfamiliar name in Italian football. The gifted 2008-born player, son of Inacio Pià, a forward who played for Napoli, Catania and Atalanta, has burst on to the scene over the past two years and even made his debut for the senior Italy national team in the now famous friendlies overseen by interim head coach Silvio Baldini.

    After coming through the youth ranks at Atalanta, he joined Borussia Dortmund at 16 for a bargain fee as the German club moved quickly with an ambitious plan to fast-track him towards the first team. Last year he made his senior debut and scored his first Bundesliga goal, which led the German club to tie him down to a new deal until 30 June 2029.

  • Juventus have made their move

    This year Samuele began the season without fear and determined to play more and build experience. Instead, he has managed only three minutes in the Bundesliga so far, and after changing agent in the summer, his new agency have started listening to interest and approaches from Italy, which have never gone away.

    Juventus are the club to have made a concrete move in recent days, according to Tuttosport. Through the mediation Edoardo Crnjar carried out to bring Randal Kolo Muani back to Juventus, they also asked the agent for information on his new client Inacio. There is openness to a transfer and clear ideas, even if there is still no real negotiation.

    AC Milan tried to make their move a year ago, but Inter are now the Italian striker's fiercest rivals. Through Dario Baccin's work, they will try to add more young Italian players to the squad.

    Last summer, former sporting director Piero Ausilio did try to move for him, but Dortmund rejected every approach. Inter want to sign a second striker with quality in one-on-one situations, preferably young and Italian, and the new sporting director is set to revive that summer attempt with next season in mind.
