Lingard will be short on match sharpness, having worked on personal fitness programmes as he waited on a contract to be offered, but has shown in early training sessions that his shooting boots have been taken to Asia.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Lingard has shared videos on Instagram of him pinging efforts from the edge of the box into the back of the net. One effort crashes home off the underside of the crossbar, while another sees him hammer in a dipping volley that gives the goalkeeper no chance.
