James McClean posts video of brutal bleep test as Wrexham star looks to build fitness ahead of League One season

The Red Dragons' first-team squad returned to the club this week as their pre-season campaign got underway. McClean has always prided himself on his fitness and staying in tip-top shape, and he certainly showed that on Friday versus his team-mates.

After the club posted a photo of the 35-year-old which said: "James McClean is your joint Yo-Yo (bleep) Test winner this year," the winger posted a clip of the energy-sapping exercise at Wrexham's training ground.

After winning theNational Leagueandearning promotion to League One in back-to-back seasons, Wrexham are aiming to become record-breakers; by becoming the first club to earn three consecutive promotions within the top five levels of the English football pyramid. Now, they are preparing for their biggest test yet - life in League One.

McClean's Wrexham side will continue their pre-season campaign in the coming weeks before heading out to North America to take on Bournemouth, Chelsea, and Vancouver Whitecaps on July 20, July 24, and July 27 respectively.
