    Haaland picked up from where he left off last season as he scored Manchester City's opening goal against Chelsea on Sunday in the Premier League. Mateo Kovacic then scored a second goal in the second half to seal a comfortable 2-0 win for the reigning champions.

    While the Norwegian managed to pick up a goal on the first day of the season, he also scripted an unwanted record in the Chelsea clash as he became the first player ever to complete only three passes while playing the full 90 minutes under manager Guardiola. Despite his goalscoring prowess, the star striker's involvement in matches has often been questioned as he has been accused of being a goal-hanger.
