'What a comeback!' - Paul Mullin celebrates Wrexham's stunning last-gap win over Salford City that sends Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side up into fifth place in League Two

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Wrexham went 2-0 down just 36 minutes into the match at Racecourse Ground but pulled a goal back through Elliott Lee just before the break.

    The home team pushed for the equaliser but were left frustrated for much of the second half until substitutes Steven Fletcher and Jordan Davies intervened.

    Scottish striker Fletcher smashed in the equaliser in the 87th minute to seemingly secure a point, but less than two minutes later Davies popped up with a late winner.

    Wrexham are unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions and are now fifth in the League Two table. Just three points separate Phil Parkinson's team from league leaders Stockport County.

    Although he was unable to get on the scoresheet - he sent two opportunities far off target - captain Mullin shared his excitement with a post on social media, writing: "What a comeback!!"

    Wrexham are in action again next Saturday when they take on Bradford City, who sit 11th in the table and have won their last two matches.
