Boost for Christian Pulisic as AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli - who has overseen USMNT star’s best-ever club season - set to stay at Serie A giants

The Italian manager came under fire after AC Milan crashed out of the Champions League group stages as reports claimed that the club could part ways with him at the end of the current season. But Sky Italia now reports that the situation has changed at the Rossoneri and Pioli is likely to continue beyond the 2023/24 campaign.

After a tough start to their season, the 58-year-old has somewhat turned things around at the Serie A side who currently find themselves second in the league. While the club are still 14 points adrift of league leaders and rivals Inter, their performance has improved in the past few months which has reportedly prompted the owners to change their opinion.

The former Lazio and Inter boss played an important role in Milan roping in the USMNT duo of Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah last summer. Pulisic has enjoyed a rich vein of form under the Italian coach's tutelage having scored 12 goals in 40 matches across all competitions and provided eight assists.

The Serie A giants will be next seen in action on Saturday as they are all set to take on Lecce in an important league clash.
