Ancelotti acknowledged the tactical changes brought about by Flick and told reporters: "The philosophy has changed a bit, it's a team that plays differently, much more directly. I don't want to compare the work with Xavi, because for me Xavi did a fantastic job with Barcelona in his own way, with his ideas. Many times we struggled and lost against Xavi's Barcelona. This is a slightly different Barcelona, which we respect just as much as Xavi's."
With Barcelona seemingly in top form, Ancelotti faces the challenge of preparing Real Madrid to counter this revamped Barcelona team. Although Ancelotti admitted that he has adjustments in mind, he refrained from delving into specifics.
"I have something in mind, but it is not correct to explain it today,” he remarked.
"They may have a high line and then you have a way of attacking. They may lower the line, but you have to be able to manage the attack well also with a lower line. These are matches in which you have to be complete to win and we will try to do that."
