  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Barcelona signed a deal with the global leader of music-streaming platform, Spotify, in the summer of 2022 after their deal with Rakuten ran out, and their unique sponsorship deal has seen the five-time European champions showcase a number of artists on the jersey in matches against Real Madrid. DID YOU KNOW?

Earlier reports had suggested that Barcelona were in talks with Taylor Swift, who has been the most-streamed artist globally over the last decade, to feature on their shirts for the May Clasico, however, it now appears that talks stalled before Spotify and Barcelona moved on to Travis Scott. Additionally, there had also been mention of a deal with Ipswich Town minority owner, Ed Sheeran.

    WHAT NEXT FOR BARCELONA?

Hansi Flick's side has possibly been the best team in world football this season, and they are in line to challenge for the European treble. However, Real Madrid could still play spoilsport as the two sides face off in the Copa del Rey, and the May 11 Clasico could see Los Blancos back in the hunt for the La Liga title.
