Arsenal transfers: Ben White close to signing new long-term contract while Gunners make decision on Jakub Kiwior's future amid January transfer interest

The England international defender is on the verge of committing his future to the Gunners by putting pen to paper on a new long-term deal. The negotiations are well underway between the two parties and the official announcement will be made soon, according to Rudy Galetti.

The report further claimed that the north London side have reached a verdict on Jakub Kiwior's short-term future. The 23-year-old, who joined the Gunners from Spezia in January 2023, has attracted interest from several clubs but he is unlikely to leave the Premier League giants in January.

Several Arsenal players have already signed new contracts in recent times, including captain Martin Odegaard, William Saliba, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Aaron Ramsdale. Other than White, the club are also planning to offer a new deal to Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Mikel Arteta's side have managed to pick up just one point from their last three Premier League games which has brought them down to the fourth position in the league table. They now shift focus to the FA Cup as they gear up to face Liverpool in a third-round clash on Sunday.
