Per The Athletic, Arsenal are developing a strong interest in signing Gyokeres from Sporting in the summer. New sporting director Andrea Berti is a big admirer of the striker, and he represents a more cost-effective option than Newcastle's Alexander Isak, while RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko has also been considered, but he has multiple suitors.

Gyokeres has scored 85 goals in 92 games for Sporting, and is emerging as the Gunners' top target. It is unclear how much he will cost, but he has a contract with the Portuguese club until 2028.
