Max Dowman delivered a breathtaking individual performance to guide England Under-19s to a dominant 6-0 victory over Portugal. The highly-rated Arsenal academy graduate scored a spectacular goal and provided two crucial assists. Despite the emphatic win, the Young Lions narrowly missed out on qualification for the upcoming European Championship finals after Serbia defeated Poland.

Arsenal sensation Max Dowman has been tipped for a glittering international career, though England's coaching staff are wary of accelerating his transition to the senior stage too quickly. The 16-year-old has taken the Premier League by storm, rewriting history books and catching the eye of Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel.

Tottenham star Mikey Moore returned to form with a stunning hat-trick in England Under-19s' thumping 4-1 win over Belgium on Saturday. Moore scored his maiden hat-trick for England in the U19 age group as Will Antwi's side marched towards a comprehensive victory in the first of the two international friendlies they are scheduled to play during the October break.

Will Antwi's England U19 side lost 4-2 to Netherlands U19 as the Young Lions crashed out of the U19 European Championship group stage without a win.
