The Glamour Boys are set for another assignment on Sunday as they host AS Simba in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup's second preliminary round to be staged at the Dobsnville Stadium. The initial meeting at the TP Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi ended goalless, meaning a win of any kind for Amakhosi will send them to the Group Stage.

GOAL predicts how the Soweto giants' coaches Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef might pick the men who will start this weekend.

  • Inacio Miguel, Kaizer ChiefsBackpage

    CENTRE-BACK: Inacio Miguel

The Angolan defender was injured against Siwelele but is seemingly ready to be involved. He will, however, face a late fitness test.

  • Zitha Kwinika, Kaizer ChiefsBackpage

    CENTRE-BACK: Zitha Kwinika

A very mature player with experience and leadership skills at the back. He has outmuscled his way into the starting team.

  • Sibongiseni Mthethwa of Kaizer ChiefsBackpagepix

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER: Sibongiseni Mthethwa

This is a season Mthethwa has been the first choice in the middle of the park and has not done anything to make the coaches exclude him.

  • Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Kaizer Chiefs, July 2025Backpagepix

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER: Nkosingiphile Ngcobo

Ngcobo is expected to take the box-to-box role owing to his energy and skill in midfield. A talented player with the potential to hit greater heights.

  • Gaston Sirino of Kaizer ChiefsBackpagepix

    ATTACKING MIDFIELDER: Gaston Sirino

The 34-year-old's experience will be vital against AS Simba as he will be the creative link behind the attacking trio.

  • Glody Lilepo, Kaizer ChiefsBackpage

    RIGHT-WINGER: Glody Lilepo

He has been struggling lately, but he is still the best, currently, in that position.

  • Pule Mmodi, Kaizer ChiefsBackpage

    LEFT ATTACKER: Pule Mmodi

His speed on the left flank will be helpful against the Congolese but will be needed to take the chances that come his way.

  • Flavio Silva, Kaizer ChiefsBackpage

    CENTRE-FORWARD: Flavio Silva

In the absence of the injured Khanyisa Mayo, Silva is expected to start ahead of Etiosa Ighodaro.
