Orlando Pirates start their 2025/26 Premier Soccer League campaign on Saturday with a tough fixture against Sekhukhune United, who finished fourth last season.

This will be a massive test for Bucs new coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, who took over from Jose Riveiro.

The Spaniard helped the Sea Robbers finish second for three consecutive seasons.

    The Bucs have made significant changes in the ongoing transfer window, bringing in some promising players, including Sipho Mbule, Oswin Appollis, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Sihle Nduli, and Kamogelo Sebelebele, among others.

    However, they have lost some notable figures like Mohau Nkota, who left for Al Ettifaq, while they opted to release Innocent Maela, Miguel Timm, Paseka Mako, Thabiso Monyane, Zakhele Lepasa and Phillip Ndlondlo.

    Babina Noko lost some notable figures like Loydt Kazapua, Katlego Otladisa, Sipho Mbule, Pogiso Mahlangu, Badra Ali Sangare, Njabulo Ngcobo, among others, who helped the team deliver last season.

    They have managed to bring in some experienced heads like Bradley Grobler (SuperSport United), Sphiwe Mahlangu (TS Galaxy), Miguel Timm (Orlando Pirates), Ronaldo Maarman (Chippa United), and Manuel Sapunga (Polokwane City).

    Shaune Mogaila and Ngoanamello Rammala are suspended for this particular fixture.
