Monnapule Saleng's potential replacement? Orlando Pirates' new signing confirmed as Kaizer Chiefs-linked striker heads to Mamelodi Sundowns

AmaZulu FC confirmed the departure of new Bafana Bafana international Tshepang Moremi and two Mamelodi Sundowns loanees.

Moremi is moving to Orlando Pirates after Usuthu reached an agreement with the Soweto giants regarding the player.

“We wish Tshepang all the best as he embarks on a new chapter in his career,” said AmaZulu director of football, Pedro Dias.

"Additionally, the club would like to acknowledge the return of Etiosa Ighodaro and Sifiso Ngobeni to their parent club, Mamelodi Sundowns FC, following the conclusion of their loan spells," a club statement read. 

Pirates could be preparing for the departure of Monnapule Saleng, whose future with the club is uncertain after enduring a frustrating 2024/25 season.

In Moremi, Bucs have a speedy and left-footed winger who is similar to Saleng in terms of their style of play.

Meanwhile, Ighodaro has been tipped to join Chiefs following with his loan spell in Durban, with Amakhosi are expected to reinforce their striking department after releasing Ranga Chivaviro.

Pirates are poised to announce the signing of Moremi, with the team set to travel to Spain for a pre-season camp.

It remains to be seen whether Chiefs will snap up Ighodaro before they head for their pre-season camp, which is due to be held in the Netherlands.
