AS Soliman Overview

The club's vice-captain has jumped to the defence of his team-mates following a heated on-field exchange between Renaldo Leaner and Reeve Frosler. The incident, which occurred in the wake of Amakhosi’s narrow CAF Confederation Cup defeat to Red Arrows, has sparked concerns among the fan base regarding squad unity.

Amakhosi's head coach has shed light on the ongoing absence of Nkosingiphile Ngcobo from the starting XI, pointing to fierce internal competition at Naturena. The midfielder has found minutes hard to come by this season, leading to intense speculation regarding his long-term future with the Soweto giants.

Former Amakhosi winger Junior Khanye has claimed that the club's long-standing decline began the moment the chairman took a step back from daily operations. The Soweto giants have struggled for consistency and silverware, and Khanye believes a lack of footballing authority at the top is the root cause.

Amakhosi are facing a pivotal moment in their continental campaign as they prepare to host Red Arrows in the second leg of their secondary preliminary tie. After a disappointing result in Zambia, the pressure is on the Glamour Boys to deliver a performance that secures their passage to the lucrative group stages.
