Sandile Zungu and Danny Jordaan have spent months campaigning for the presidency of the South African Football Association (SAFA) by slinging accusations at one another. And now, as the conference is set to kick off the organisation has released a statement alleging the campaigning has gone too far.

Bafana Bafana super fan Joy "Mama Joy" Chauke has broken her neutral stance to publicly throw her weight behind the incumbent South African Football Association president. Despite the South African National Supporters’ (SANASU) official position of non-alignment, the iconic supporter believes Jordaan remains the right man to lead South African football into the next international cycle.

SAFA presidential candidate Sandile Zungu has pledged to fast-track the implementation of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology if he is elected to lead the federation.
