Amakhosi's football manager has laid down a very clear mandate for their new head coach by revealing that the Frenchman has been tasked with delivering the league title and winning cups. He also hinted that Chiefs transfer business was not over and the club is still in the market for players that can help them achieve their goals.

The Moroccan tactician took charge of his 50th match with the club in their 2-0 Premier Soccer League win over Sekhukhune on Tuesday night. The win took them clear at the summit of the league but was more noteworthy for the record it brought for the coach just over a year after his appointment.

Former PSL and FIFA referee Dr. Errol Sweeney has delivered a scathing assessment of the proposed R82 million introduction of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology in South African football. The veteran official, famously known as "The Hanging Judge," believes the multi-million rand investment is unnecessary and that the true solution to officiating woes lies in structural independence rather than expensive gadgetry.

The were rumours in the media that Amakhosi were not quite done with Stellenbosch FC after landing Langelihle Phili and that proved to be the case on Thursday when it was announced that Faiz Abrahams had signed a season-long loan with an option to buy with the Naturena club.
