Tuesday’s PSL fixtures, kick-off times, TV channels and preview

The 2018/19 Premier Soccer League (PSL) action is set to resume on Tuesday with three matches scheduled to be played.

Polokwane City will play host to Cape Town City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Limpopo.

Rise and Shine are winless in their last two matches having drawn 0-0 with AmaZulu FC away in their previous game over two weeks ago.

As a result, Polokwane City are placed seventh on the league standings - two points behind second-placed Bidvest Wits.

Polokwane City are set to face an in-form Cape Town City side who will be eyeing their third successive victory.

The Citizens extended their unbeaten run to three league games when they defeated Black Leopards 3-1 at home in the previous game earlier this month.

The win took City to eighth place on the league standings - three points above 12th-placed Baroka FC.

Polokwane City and Cape Town City played to a 1-1 draw in their previous league game eight months ago.

Meanwhile, Maritzburg United are expected to lock horns with Chippa United at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.

The Team of Choice extended their winless run to four league games when they drew 2-2 with Highlands Park at home over two weeks ago.

The draw saw Maritzburg remain 15th on the league standings - two points behind 12th placed Baroka FC.

The Team of Choice will take on a Chippa side which has failed to win its last three games in the league.

The Chilli Boys managed to hold Kaizer Chiefs to a 0-0 draw at home in their previous match earlier this month.

As a result, Chippa are placed 13th on the league standings - a point above the relegation play-off spot.

Maritzburg and Chippa played to a 1-1 draw in their previous league meeting 11 months ago.

Lastly, Highlands Park are set to welcome AmaZulu FC at the Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa.

The Lions of the North are winless in their last two league games having drawn 2-2 with Maritzburg United in their previous game earlier this month.

The draw left Highlands placed 10th on the league standings - a point behind eighth-placed Cape Town City.

They will square off with a struggling AmaZulu side, who have failed to win their last seven matches in the league.

Usuthu were held to a 0-0 draw by a resilient Polokwane City side at home in their previous game over two weeks ago.

Their poor form sees AmaZulu placed 16th on the league standings - four points behind 15th-placed Maritzburg.

This will be the first meeting between Highlands and AmaZulu in the South African top flight.
