Borussia Dortmund are not planning to bid for Bayern Munich defender Mats Hummels, but according to German outlet <a href="https://sportbild.bild.de/fussball/startseite/fussball/home-33017580.sport.html" target="_blank">Bild</a>, they were interested in signing their former player earlier this month. Hummels played for Dortmund between 2008-2016 and was part of the side that won back-to-back Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012. While Lucien Favre was tempted to bid for the German international this month he opted against it given the player’s age and wage demands. In his place Dortmund signed Argentinian Leonardo Balerdi.

Schalke have had an offer for Manchester City youth product Rabbi Matondo turned down. The Welsh under-21 international is yet to make a senior appearance for City, but is believed to be one of the brightest stars in their academy. German outlet <a href="https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/fussball/schalke-04-christian-heidel-macht-atletico-madrid-angebot-fuer-kalinic-59762252.bild.html" target="_blank">Bild</a> claim it could cost Schalke as much as £10m ($13m) to lure the 18-year-old from the Etihad.

Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy looks set to leave St James’ Park this month and join Championship side West Brom. Despite playing 12 times for the Magpies this year, Murphy has started just once in the last 18 Premier League games and could be allowed to depart the club temporarily. As per <a href="https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-west-brom-close-to-signing-newcastle-player/">Football Insider</a>, Darren Moore has lined the 23-year-old up as a replacement for Harvey Barnes, whose loan at the Hawthorns was cut short short earlier this month.

Terrence Boyd is in discussions over an MLS move with Toronto FC seen as the most likely destination, according to <a href="http://www.espn.com/soccer/toronto-fc/story/3759079/united-states-striker-terrence-boyd-in-talks-to-join-mlstoronto-interested-sources">ESPN</a>. Boyd earned 14 caps for the U.S. national team and has been on the books with Hertha Berlin, Borussia Dortmund, Rapid Wien and, currently, Darmstadt.
