Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela says he is taking a break from football, but he will be back in the game.
Komphela parted ways with the Soweto giants last month following Amakhosi's 2-0 defeat at the hands of his ex-club, Free State Stars.
The former Bafana Bafana skipper ended his three-year deal with no trophy at Amakhosi, and their Nedbank Cup was his last opportunity to win silverware.
In the wake of that defeat at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, the club supporters vented their anger, pelted the club bench with objects, invaded the pitch.
As the fans called for the coach’s axing, Komphela did not waste time and announced his resignation immediately after the match.

However, speaking to Timesilive, the outspoken mentor said he is not lost in the game, but is sorting out a number of personal issues.
“I am resting and taking care of a number of private matters at the moment. When I finish handling those issues‚ I will definitely be back in football‚” he said to the publication.
“Over the past three seasons‚ I have dedicated all my time and energy to Chiefs and never really had time for myself and family‚” Komphela continued.
“I have that time now which I am enjoying but I will come back to football,” he concluded.
Despite his disappointing spell at the Naturena-based outfit, the former Chiefs skipper could still have admirers in the local game.
SuperSport United and Baroka FC are some of the clubs with no permanent coaches in the elite division and he was also linked with a coaching job at the Benin national team.
The Tshwane side parted ways with coach Eric Tinker in March during their disastrous 2017/18 PSL season and he was replaced by Kaitano Tembo on an interim basis.
For Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele, Doctor Khumalo and MacDonald Makhubedu have served on interim roles since the sacking of Kgoloko Thobejane.
Moreover, speculation was rife that Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter was eyeing the former school teacher for a role in his technical team.
