Under-pressure Nasreddine Nabi makes decision on Raja Casablanca's approach as Moroccan giants look to replace Ricardo Sa Pinto with Kaizer Chiefs coach - REPORT

Raja Casablanca have reportedly been in touch with representatives of the Kaizer Chiefs coach, Nasreddine Nabi.

The Moroccan giants parted ways with coach Ricardo Sa Pinto due to the team's inconsistent results and they are now looking for the Portuguese tactician's replacement.

"Earlier this week, the Moroccan club’s hierarchy is said to have reached out to Nabi’s management team. However, Nabi’s management team made it clear that he was fully committed to his project at Chiefs. They reportedly inquired with Chiefs about the availability of Nabi but were informed that the coach remains an integral part of the club’s plans," FARPost reported.

As the head coach of AS FAR Rabat, the 59-year-old battled with Raja for the 2023/24 Moroccan Botola Pro League title. His side finished second behind Raja before he moved to Chiefs in July.

After nine games, Amakhosi are in ninth place in the league standings table, having won three, drawn three, and lost three.

This uneven start to the season has raised concerns, but Nabi has expressed his belief in the project.

The former Young Africans coach is focused on strengthening the team and achieving better consistency in their upcoming games.

He remains determined to turn the situation around for the club.

Nabi’s main focus is securing a victory in their next match against Chippa United. This would help Chiefs end 2025 on a high note, providing a confidence boost for the remainder of the season.

He aims to get more positive results, especially before the end of the year. The Amakhosi coach is working hard to ensure the team’s improvement in the coming weeks.
