    WHAT HAPPENED?

Thembinkosi Lorch is said to be a transfer target of Kaizer Chiefs from Mamelodi Sundowns.

It is a surprise move for the player who once turned out for Orlando Pirates and top agent Mike Makaab comments on the possibility of Lorch joining Chiefs as he has some off-field issues handing over his head.

    WHAT MAKAAB SAID

"If Chiefs are looking to build long-term, for me they have to look at players that, over a period of time, are gonna be consistently important for them," Makaab said on Gagasi FM Sports.

"Not for two months, three months, and I'm not saying Lorch won't be... it's just my personal opinion.

"I can't make that statement because it's only what we read in the media and sometimes it's unfair to judge from what you read in the media, but one has to believe that can be the only stumbling block in his career, because he is a super talented football player."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Soweto giants are searching for experienced players who will help them become a competitive outfit in the PSL.

If Lorch signs for Chiefs, he will become one of the few players to play for traditional giants Amaklhosi, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

But as it stands, Lorch has been struggling for game time for Sundowns and that could be a turn-off to Chiefs coaches.
