    WHAT HAPPENED?

    WHAT ZAJMOVIC SAID

"Two clubs have already contacted from the PSL. South Africa is a nice country with a good league, and I would love to continue playing there at a new club," Zajmovic told KickOff.

"I felt at home and will never shut a door for anything to do with South Africa, and my wife and kids know about it. It was an amazing experience being in South Africa.

"Football was good, and the life was also the same, so there was a connection to being in a good mental space and playing football."

    WHAT IS MORE

The 30-year-old striker also revealed visa frustrations and said he will consider other options if the problem is not solved.

"Unfortunately, there were issues with visas for my wife and my two kids. It was complicated, but I hope it will be fixed. There was an issue, but I don’t want to drop names of people here even though I paid the money for the process.

"The fact is that someone didn’t do the job well. The visa agent took a big amount of money from my pocket and didn’t do a thing, but maybe there could be an option B to get the visa fixed for my family," Zajmovic continued to say.

"So, I don’t know because it is supposed to be an easier process when you have Belgian (European Union) passports, which my family use. If South Africa doesn’t work out, then I must consider other plans. I have explained the same thing to the two clubs that have approached me."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Zajmovic is a free agent after he terminated his contract with the Mpumalanga outfit. Last season, he was a sensational star for the club and scored 11 goals for them in what was his first season in South Africa's top flight.

Just recently, he revealed that he desired to play for teams that mostly win titles in the country. Mamelodi Sundowns, eight consecutive PSL champions; Orlando Pirates, MTN8 champions and previous back-to-back Nedbank Cup winners; are the clubs that have consistently lifted titles in the recent campaigns.

Kaizer Chiefs, on the other hand, have lacked a reliable striker since they parted ways with Samir Nurkovic a few seasons ago and their new forward Flavio Silva is yet to impress.

    WHAT NEXT FOR ZAJMOVIC?

Given his goal output for TX Galaxy, PSL clubs will understandably salivate for his services.

However, for now, the visa issue remains a stumbling block for any possible move for the Bosnian-Belgian striker.
