Stellenbosch are set to welcome Sekhukhune United for the first leg of the MTN8 semi-final at the Danie Craven Stadium.

Stellies advanced to the semi-final after a dramatic 3-2 win over AmaZulu, while Sekhukhune United saw off TS Galaxy in the quarter-final.

    This is the first encounter between Stellenbosch and Sekhukhune United in the MTN8, but the second one when it comes to cup games. They met in the Nedbank Cup semi-final in the 2022/23 season, and Sekhukhune won on penalties after a 0-0 draw.

    Meanwhile, when it comes to MTN8 home matches, Stellies have lost just one game, and this came when Orlando Pirates defeated them in the 2023 semi-final. From then, they have gone on to claim wins against Mamelodi Sundowns and AmaZulu but lost to Chiefs in 2022 on penalties.
