    THE BIGGER PICTURE

United are lining up an offer worth up to €35 million (£29m/$37m), the reporter says, and Napoli are prepared to come close to that offer, though they would consider loaning the 20-year-old back to Lecce. It is more than a two-horse race, however, as Chelsea and Tottenham have already been credited with an interest in Dorgu.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Dorgu joined Lecce from Nordsjaelland in 2022 in an initial loan deal before completing a permanent move a year later. He was initially used as a left-back but has been used as a winger more recently - often on the right side. He has scored three goals in 12 Serie A games this season - one more than he managed in 32 matches last term.

    WHAT NEXT?

Dorgu is not the only left-back on United's radar, with Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies and AC Milan's Theo Hernandez among the options on their list of targets.
