PSL Wrap: Polokwane City keep track of Orlando Pirates after Sekhukhune United clash as former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker continues his good form

Goals were finally witnessed on Sunday when Polokwane City and Sekhukhune United played to a 1-1 draw with Sekhukhune United at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Raymond Daniels opened the scoring for Polokwane in the 36th minute after being assisted by the in-form Keletso Makgalwa before Tresor Yamba Tshibwabwa hit back for Babina Noko four minutes before half-time.

This season's surprise package, Rise and Shine are now on a five-match unbeaten streak as they remained in third position with five points fewer than second-placed Orlando Pirates.

Sekhukhune climbed one place up the ladder from position five to four where they removed Stellenbosch.

A goalless Saturday was completed at Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium where Marumo Gallants hosted fellow strugglers Richards Bay on Saturday.

After the 0-0 draw, the Natal Rich Boyz moved from number 15 to the 14th spot to vacate the relegation zone, although they have played two more games than the two teams below them, Royal AM and Magesi.

Marumo Gallants did not move from position 13.

Golden Arrows wasted an opportunity to overtake Kaizer Chiefs following a 0-0 draw with AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

Victory would have seen Abafana Bes'thende jump to fourth on the standings but they remain in position eight with Kaizer Chiefs just a rung above them.

It was a match, Arthur Zwane and Vusumuzi Vilakazi's AmaZulu hit the crossbar twice and ultimately, claimed a point and remained 11th.

For the 10th time this season, Usuthu were denied by the woodwork in a contest where each team had a goal disallowed.

Basement side Magesi held TS Galaxy to a 0-0 draw at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday.

The point gained counted little for Magesi who remain at the foot of the table while the Rockets have now gone for seven games unbeaten and rose one place up to ninth spot.
