    WHAT HAPPENED?

Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou started his reign at the club with an impressive 2-0 win over Polokwane City in the MTN8 quarter-final.

However, in the Premier Soccer League, things haven't worked out as he had anticipated.

The Morocco international has suffered back-to-back losses against Sekhukhune United and Marumo Gallants, respectively.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The latest defeat was on Tuesday night against his former team, Gallants. They suffered a 2-1 loss despite the many chances they created.

To be fair, the Buccaneers did well in their search for goals, but they were unlucky in front of the goal, coupled with a few wrong decisions.

Ouaddou has conceded that the changes he made didn't work out as the technical team anticipated.

    WHAT OUADDOU SAID

“Yeah of course, it’s not the result we expected. We came here with a lot of ambition to take these three points that we lost at home,” he told the media.

“I can say that we started the game very well, opening the score with a lot of chances again that we didn’t put in the net, and like I said, when you don’t score, you give the opportunity to the opponent to finish you.

“So yeah, it’s a big disappointment that we start very badly, but we’ll sit and we’ll think about that," Ouaddou

“We are going to analyse the game and see what’s going wrong, especially in the second half. We tried to make some changes to bring some fresh blood; unfortunately, the changes that we made didn’t give us what we expected from them. It was about their level.

“Yeah, it’s a big disappointment, but we’re going to sit, analyse and come back stronger," he concluded.
