On the move? Kaizer Chiefs' next signing spotted leaving International Airport

Luke Baartman, heavily linked with a switch to Kaizer Chiefs, was officially cleared to move after winning his case against Cape Town Spurs.

The PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber ruled in his favour, granting him free-agent status and opening the door for a potential move to Amakhosi.

Just hours after the ruling on Tuesday, 19 August, the young forward was spotted at Cape Town International Airport, fueling speculation that he could already be en route to Johannesburg. 

Just a week ago, former Cape Town Spurs captain Asanele Velebayi was also declared a free agent before Chiefs confirmed his arrival on a long-term deal.

For the 22-year-old, the move represents the fulfilment of a lifelong dream, finally donning the famous Amakhosi colours. 

With excitement mounting after Baartman’s airport sighting, attention now shifts to what comes next and when an official announcement will be made. 

For now, Chiefs turn their focus back to the pitch as they gear up for their midweek Premier Soccer League clash against Richards Bay at FNB Stadium on Tuesday, 19 August.
