Not Ted Dumitru, Not Paul Dolezar, Not Nasreddine Nabi! Itumeleng Khune names Kaizer Chiefs' greatest coach

Kaizer Chiefs have not won a trophy since 2015 when they won the Premier Soccer League title.

It was Stuart Baxter who guided the Soweto giants to glory before his unsuccessful second stint at the club.

Former Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune has swatted aside the likes of Paul Dolezar and Ted Dumitru while picking Baxter as Amakhosi's greatest coach ever.

“I strongly agree [that Baxter is the best Chiefs coach ever] because he won four trophies with Chiefs, and I played under him,” said Khune as per Sportswire.

“I had to fight to be the best. It wasn’t about favourites – it was about working hard and earning your place!”  

Amakhosi have had celebrated coaches like Ted Dumitru and Paul Dolezar who have helped Amakhosi to glory.

Now, Nasreddine Nabi is carrying the hopes of Chiefs fans to win trophies despite a difficult season for the Soweto giants.

Amakhosi are preparing to visit Mamelodi Sundowns for Sunday's Nedbank Cup semi-final match at Loftus Versfeld.

It is match Amakhosi are taking as a chance to finish the season with a trophy.
