    WHAT HAPPENED?

Defending Caf Champions League champions Al Ahly are closer to the quarter-finals of the ongoing edition after a hard-fought 3-1 win over Stade d'Abidjan on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils - who confirmed the exit of Percy Tau after a three-year service, were shocked in the first half by a Saint-Jean Firmin Kore strike.

However, a hat-trick by Emam Ashour in the second half sealed the 3-1 win in favour of the visitors.
