Nico Williams gives 'clear' statement on future amid reports Barcelona aim to sign Athletic Club star

Speaking on the Spanish radio stationEl Partidazo, Williams said: "I am very happy at Athletic, it is the club that has given me everything, the one that has bet on me one hundred percent.

"I am very happy in Bilbao and that is all I have to say. Yes, I am quite clear, in the end, as I have told you, Athletic is my home. I am very happy, and what I want to do is focus on the Euros one hundred percent and for the rest I don't know what's going on."

Williams has been with Athletic Club since 2013, progressing through their youth ranks to become a key player in the senior team. He recently signed a new contract at the club and bagged eight goals and 17 assists in all competitions last season.

Williams' focus will eventually turn to the new La Liga season, where he will aim to build on his eye-catching performances from last term. But for now, he is set to represent Spain at Euro 2024 and he is anticipated to play a significant role as they look to dethrone Italy.
