Massive boost for Kaizer Chiefs as four new signings are cleared to make debut against AS Simba in CAF Confederation Cup

    Ethan Chislett, Nkanyiso Shinga, Flavio Silva, Thabiso Monyane, Paseka Mako, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Asanele Velebayi, Etiosa Ighodaro, Luke Baartman, Lebohang Maboe, and Khanyisa Mayo are the players Kaizer Chiefs signed.

    Chislett, Shinga, Velebayi, Baartman, Ighodaro, and Maboe have not yet made any competitive debut for the club despite their quality.

    Chislett - at some point, Ighodaro, Shinga, and Maboe have been working on their fitness after sustaining injuries, while Baartman and Velebayi were waiting to be cleared.

    Mayo, who had not been registered for the initial CAF Confederation Cup round, has been registered to play AS Simba on Saturday in the first leg of the second preliminary round. 

    Midfielder Maboe is fit for debut alongside Velebayi and Baartman, who have been registered as well.

    Striker Ighodaro is among the new players cleared to make their bow.

    Monyane is not yet fit to make the squad after sustaining an injury about a month ago, but Maboe is in the travelling party.
