    Chiefs preparations for the game

Just a couple of days ago, Kaizer Chiefs confirmed Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef will be in charge of the team after the exit of Nasreddine Nabi.

The majority of the Glamour Boys players were not called for international assignments, which gave the duo enough time to prepare for the game.

Thabiso Monyane, Etiosa Ighodaro, Given Msimango, Rushwin Dortley, and Lebohang Maboe have been out of action owing to injuries.

Asanele Velebayi and Luke Baartman - who were with the South Africa team for the U20 World Cup, have been cleared to make their debut.

  • Chiefs confirm good news ahead of the Simba tie

"Following a two-week international break, Chiefs are expected to welcome back several players recovered from injury," Amakhosi updated.

"Additionally, Mfundo Vilakazi and Luke Baartman return from duty at the U20 World Cup in Chile.

"Baartman and Asanele Velebayi have also been cleared to play after finalisation of their appealed cases, adding depth to the squad for the upcoming matches," they concluded.

    What comes next?

The Glamour Boys can't afford to get knocked out of the competition, especially with the squad they have.

Both Kaze and Ben Youssef will have to put their heads together and come up with the strongest team and bench to do the job on Saturday.
