    WHAT HAPPENED?

Mamelodi Sundowns suffered their second Premier Soccer League defeat of the season on Tuesday night.

A 44th minute strike by Kamogelo Sebelebele was all that TS Galaxy needed to beat favourites Masandawana.

It was an unexpected result after their 4-1 win over Orlando Pirates on Saturday.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Masandawana technical team made a few changes to the starting team after a hard-fought win over Orlando Pirates.

Sundowns' former winger Lucas Sebona argues it was a disjointed display from the players.

He believes it happened because the players were complacent as opposed to Galaxy who were hungry for victory.

    WHAT SEBONA SAID

"Yeah, I was a little bit disappointed with what transpired yesterday [Tuesday]," he said as quoted by SNL24.

"Honestly, they looked disjointed. There was no combination. They tried to revive that with the substitutions they made, only to find that it was too late, the damage was already done.

"And the players that were given a chance yesterday, their communication was not so good.

"You know what they say about changing a winning team, so in this case, Sundowns also came to Mbombela relaxed after their two or three impressive wins.

"They thought TS Galaxy were going to be a walkover," Sebona concluded.

    WHAT NEXT FOR SUNDOWNS?

Sundowns have now played 15 PSL games in the ongoing campaign and recorded 42 points.

They have played two games more than second-placed Orlando Pirates who are trailing by nine points.

Galaxy are now fourth on the table with 25 points from 17 outings.

The Buccaneers must be thrilled that somebody has taken points off their title rivals so soon after they were beaten by Sundowns who opened a nine point lead in the standings after the 4-1 win at Loftus.
