    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Mduduzi Shabalala, Wandile Duba, Mfundo Vilakazi, and Samkelo Zwane were the Chiefs youngsters who got a chance to show their worth against a quality Masandawana side.

However, they were run over by the ruthless Sundowns side who could have scored more than five goals against the Glamour Boys.

Chiefs ended the game with 10 men after Inacio Miguel's dismissal early in the second half with the senior players in the squad failing to stamp their authority.

A section of Amakhosi fans have been blaming the youngsters for their struggles, but respectable agent Mike Makaab did not shy away from sharing his opinion.

  • WHAT MAKAAB SAID

"Don't blame one player, particularly young players. Where were the seasoned players in this game, including your Captain? Instead of calming down the situation, they added fuel to the fire. The older players need to guide and lift the youngsters," he wrote on his X account.
