    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Patrick Maswanganyi started when Orlando Pirates beat Marumo Gallants 1-0 in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals.

    The playmaker lasted 89 minutes in a match he provided an assist for goal scorer Kabelo Dlamini.

    Former Kaizer Chiefs star Junior Khanye highly rates Maswanganyi for his contribution.

    WHAT KHANYE SAID

    “Tito, the vision, the square pass,” Khanye said on iDiski Times.

    “Tito is the only player that I saw being in charge in the middle. Tito was dictating the game. For me he’s the contender for man of the match. He played really well.

    “You can’t even tell that he’s just come back from injury. He knows. he’s a star.”

    Pirates got Maswanganyi at a time when they needed all their best players to be available.

    The Buccaneers are contesting for the Premier Soccer League title, the Nedbank Cup and the Caf Champions League crown.
