    WHAT HAPPENED?

Kaizer Chiefs have been struggling to get a clinical striker to take the many chances the team creates.

This season, Ranga Chivaviro, Christian Saile, Ashley du Preez and occasionally Wandile Duba have failed to convince coach Nasreddine Nabi.

Even Tashreeq Morris, who joined the team in the January transfer window, is struggling to settle.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Saile was sold to SuperSport United in January, with Morris going the opposite way.

On Wednesday, the Glamour Boys confirmed that Chivaviro's contract will not be extended, and he is at liberty to join another team.

Former Orlando Pirates striker Bienvenu Eva Nga, who is currently playing for Chippa United, has been heavily linked with Chiefs.

His agent Charles Domingos has responded to the links.

    WHAT DOMINGOS SAID

“Eva is not going to Chiefs; his contract is ending, we have not renewed with Chippa," Domingos told told FARPost.

"So, basically, he’s a free agent as we’re speaking. We’re still in talks with Chippa, but we haven’t agreed to anything. So, the player is a free agent for now," he concluded.

    WHAT NEXT?

Domingos has seemingly all but confirmed the towering attacker will be at Chippa United, of course, if the respective parties agree on terms.

Coach Nabi hopes to get a striker who will help him achieve his targets for the 2025/26 campaign.

Apart from the domestic competitions, Amakhosi are aiming to make a statement in the Caf Confederation Cup.
