  • Head-to-head and recent form

Uganda are aiming at reaching the quarter-final for the first time in seven appearances in the competition.

Prior to the ongoing edition, the East African nation had managed just two wins in the previous CHAN competitions, but they have so far managed as many in three matches.

South Africa are aiming at getting into the last eight in CHAN for the first time since 2011.

Molefi Ntseki's men have managed a win and two draws in the last three Group C games played.

Before the goalless clean-sheet against Niger, South Africa had conceded in seven successive CHAN outings.

In the head-to-head record, the two teams have met four times across all competitions; Bafana have two wins and as many draws in regulation time.

However, it is the first time they are meeting in CHAN.
